Responsibilities and duties
- Assisting the estimating department and supporting the Bid Manager
- Maintaining deadlines in line with the monthly commercial calendar
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict and manage resources needed to reach objectives in an effective and efficient manner
- Ability to challenge resources and costs
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors/suppliers
- Monitor progress and make adjustments when required
- Accurate monthly forecasting
You will also be required to give assistance to others with technical methodology/questions or scenarios, such as describing how the works will be undertaken, sequencing and consistent delivery over the period of the contract etc.
Key Skills / Requirements
- HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years quantity surveying experience in concrete & ground remediation
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with Sales Force, Excel & QS related software
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Extensive construction law experience in commercial management & procurement of subcontractors
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Maintain/improve communication between the commercial team & operational site teams
- Robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting
- High conversion rates from active opportunities
